Self-care

April 04, 2020

Self-care is not selfish.  You cannot pour from an empty cup.

As author Eleanor Bro says, "Self-care is so important when you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow.  You cannot serve from an empty vessel."

Take care of your mind and thoughts.  Do not allow negative criticism to come into your mind.  You are capable of anything with God’s help and He will even show you the direction.

Take care of your physical health and body.  Your body is a temple of His Spirit.  It is a gift of life given to you to help others.  The heart is a muscle and needs exercise.

Take care of your emotions.  If in grief, allow the tears to come out and if you are on the mountain top enjoy yourself with laughter and fun.  Do not judge your emotions.

Increase your own wellbeing through self-care behaviors.

Be still and know that He is God.
