About Joyoga

Joyoga is in its ninth year and is a place to learn the versatility of yoga with safety. Our studio is clean and the classes are small to enable everyone the space they need and to be able to learn the correct alignments. Our students will be encouraged to fill out a medical form so an evaluation can be done and, in some cases, be sure they have gotten approval from a doctor to do yoga.

After the evaluation, a short one-on-one, by phone or in person, will be scheduled to go over which classes to take and cautions due to injuries, surgeries or diagnoses. Modifications to postures in yoga need to be addressed with people who have certain diagnoses, such as glaucoma, osteoporosis/osteopenia, diabetes and high/low blood pressure. It will be the student's responsibility to follow these recommendations and each student will be required to sign a waiver before beginning classes. I look forward to meeting you!

Vision

To bring the healing benefits of yoga to my local adult community and to include populations that may have never seen yoga as an option.

Mission

The Joyoga mission is to help all students experience yoga in a safe place and to learn the connection of body, breath and spirit. I have always believed that the body is healthy when our physical, mental and spiritual components are balanced. Yoga actually is the yoking of all three and affects the health of our whole being. I have heard people say, "I could never do yoga." However, I know that all people at any age are able to benefit from this practice and bring balance into their lives.

Our Team

Teachers who are added will have the same vision and care for each student.
