Classes Offered

 

  

Plan to arrive and set up 15 min. before class begins.  (See Guidelines under Classes Offered)   ALL CLASSES will be offered in the studio.  All you need to do is register, and I will have you sign a waiver before class.  I am always available to talk with you about what class you would like to take.   

If you reserve a class and do not show up or let me know 24 hours ahead of time, you will be responsible to  pay for the class.  I spend a lot of time preparing for my classes, therefore, I hope you will respect that time. Look under Classes Offered to see the days and times of classes.  

TO GET THE FULL BENEFITS OF YOGA, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PRACTICE 2 TO 3 TIMES PER WEEK.

FALL SESSION:  September 16 - December 12

Students signing up after the session begins will be prorated.

We will be starting on the time listed.  If needed, there is a place to change your clothes.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO COME 10 TO 15 MIN BEFORE CLASS TO SET UP.  WE WILL BE STARTING ON TIME.  If no one has signed up 24 hours before the class listed, it will be cancelled.

Gentle Yoga - Taught by Pat Pao on Mondays at 4:30 - 5:45 pm. For those new to yoga or those interested in a more gentle practice which incorporates, centering, breathing, warmups and slower paced movements that focus on alignment, strength, flexibility and balance. This will be offered on zoom as well as in person at Joyoga Studio.  Register at patpao.com

Gentle /Restorative - For those wanting to release stress from their work day.  All levels welcome..  Tuesdays - 6:30 pm  All levels welcome.  Restorative the last class of ea month.  Beginning in September we will alternate Gentle and Restorative Classes.  Restorative will help you rest, release tension and restore.  All levels welcome.

Hatha Yoga - Move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on the breath.  All levels welcome. Offered on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

Level 2 and Up - Taught by Pat Pao on Mondays from 6:00 - 7:15 pm is a well rounded practice that includes the basics as well as options for more challenging modifications. This class will be offered on zoom as well as in person at Joyoga Studio.  Register at patpao.com

Stretch & Strength -  A class that includes agility, balance, strength, flexibility, core, chair w dance and the use of weights and stretchy bands..  All the things we need to stay independent as long as possible,  Mondays at 9:30 a.m.   All levels welcome.

Yang Yin Yoga - We will begin with some yang movement and move into yin which is partially based on the Chinese energy system and is designed to bring energetic balance and harmony into our yoga practice and lives.  This quiet class focuses on our connective tissues and the protection and health of our joints. Thursdays 5:30 pm

**Stretch & Strength - (Props are available. ** Taken from teachings of Baxter Bell and Melina Meza.  You do not have to have these books for the classes, but I highly recommend them to you.  Yoga for Healthy Aging by Baxter Bel, MD and Nina Zolotow, Seasonal Health and Wellness, Change Your Life One Week At A Time, by Melina Meza). Sometimes I get asked if Stretch and Strength is only for seniors.  No it is not.  All levels are welcome.
